Ms Low Yen Ling is presently the Minister of State for the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), as well as the Chairperson of the Mayors’ Committee and Mayor of the South West District. She previously held positions in the  Ministry of Education, Ministry of Manpower, and the Ministry of Social and Family Development.
 
With her previous experience in financial institutions and start-ups, Ms Low is also currently an Advisor for the Singapore Business Federation’s (SBF) SME Committee (SMEC) and Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (SCCCI) Trade Association Committee (TACOM). Additionally, Ms Low had also spearheaded the drive to improve communications and public awareness of SkillsFuture, the national lifelong learning movement.

Mr James Chiang is currently the Vice President and General Manager Asia at embecta. Prior to embecta, Mr Chiang served as Vice President of the Diabetes Care business unit in Asia at BD. He also has previous experience in various providers for diagnostic products and medical solutions, including MP Biomedicals and Aeras Medical Pte Ltd. His experience in the medical industry has seen him take on appointments spanning research and development engineering, product and business management, profit and loss management, global marketing as well as sales management in the APAC and EMEA regions.

Dr Hsien-Hsien Lei

Dr Hsien-Hsien Lei is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Singapore. She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, Vice President of the Precision Public Health Asia Society, and a member of various advisory panels and committees such as the United Women Singapore STEM Advisory Panel. Dr Lei was previously the Vice President of the Medical and Scientific Affairs department at Medtronic Asia Pacific. She has extensive experience in scientific affairs, corporate and healthcare communications, advertising, public relations, and government affairs.

Dr Yong Mong Bee

Dr Yong Mong Bee is currently a Senior Consultant and the Head of the Department of Endocrinology at Singapore General Hospital, as well as a Clinical Associate Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. He is also the Vice President of Diabetes Singapore.
Dr Bee’s main clinical interest is in managing diabetes mellitus and lipid disorders. His academic research covers areas around diabetes prevention, artificial intelligence-enabled risk prediction of diabetic complications, and disease registries. In 2016, Dr Bee established the SingHealth Diabetes Registry. Additionally, he is also the Principal Investigator of the A*STAR-funded Diabetes Clinic of the Future (DCOF) program.

Ms Chan Yoke Ling

Ms Chan is currently practicing as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Endocrinology at the Singapore General Hospital. She has obtained the Certified Diabetes Educators credentialing conferred by the ADES accreditation and certification board and received the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award to enhance her knowledge and skills in diabetes management at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney. In addition to her active role as a practicing nurse, she has also participated as a Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in various research projects.

Dr Shailendra Bajpai is currently the Medical and Public Affairs Director at embecta Asia. He is a Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology specialist with over 30 years’ experience in clinical practice, public health, as well as biopharmaceuticals and health technology.
Dr Bajpai’s passion lies in improving the lives of people with diabetes and their caregivers. Over the years, he has established several PPPs in various developing countries including Asia, to enhance knowledge & skills, create advocacy, improve access, and uplift the standards of care through multi-stakeholder healthcare ecosystems.
