Assoc Prof Tan is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Cardiology at the National Heart Centre,
Singapore. He specializes and has research interest in noninvasive cardiac imaging. Assoc Prof Tan is also an
experienced clinical trialist and has contributed as member of the steering committees of several
multinational landmark clinical trials.

Prof Manolis is Past President of the Working Group “Hypertension and Heart” of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), Council Member of the European Society of Hypertension (ESH), Past President of the Hellenic Society of Hypertension and Treasurer of the Hellenic Society of Cardiology. He has been involved in the Task Force of the ESC guidelines and the Joint ESC/ESH Guidelines for Hypertension. He has published more than 250 original papers in peer-reviewed journals, and 30 book chapters. He is Associate Editor of the European Journal of Internal Medicine, and Reviewer for several international journals
